Twins with the twins...

Just dropping in quickly to post a picture! As promised, a picture of "the original twins" with the "new twins!" Here is Aunt Kari with Sadie and Aunt Kim with Macy! The girls will have to contact their great-Aunts in the future for all of their questions, concerns, complaints, etc. about having a twin sister, when mom and dad just don't understand!

And one last one of the girls!

Big girls!

Sorry that it's been over a week since my last post (if anyone was checking!), we've been so busy! To start with, the girls had their 4 month pediatrician visit and wow, we are growing some serious giants in our house! Not that it's much of a surprise to anyone! Both girls were off of the charts in weight. Sadie weighed in at a whopping 19.2 lbs and Macy wasn't too far behind at 18 lbs! Such big girls! They got their 4 month shots and seemed to tolerate them a bit better than the 2 month ones, which was nice! We got the go ahead to start solids and plan on starting rice cereal or oatmeal at around 5 months and then veggies at 6 months or so. I plan on making all the girls baby food with organic fruits and veggies, so I got a baby food maker from Williams Sonoma and I can't wait to try it out!

In other news, Heidi's sisters arrived in Columbus, as they are all headed to cousin Nicole's wedding in PA this weekend. Kim (Heidi's sister) and Jack (Brian's cousin) arrived from Australia and Melly (Heidi's sister) came in from CA. They hadn't met the girls yet, so it was great to spend time with them! Kari (Heidi's sister and Kim's twin) arrives today, so I'm looking forward to getting a "twins with the twins" picture tonight, which I will post another time! Kim brought some great new outfits from Australia, which the girls will be able to wear this spring and they are so cute! Here are few pictures from their visit so far!

This is what the dinner table looked like! The girls make great center pieces, especially when they are sleeping!
And here's one last picture of Macy enjoying a ride on Daddy's shoulders!
I'm looking forward to attending the bi-annual "Columbus Mother of Twins Club" sale this Friday evening. Brian will be doing bedtime alone with the girls for the first time. I know he'll do great and I'm somewhat looking forward to him getting to experience what my days are like, when I'm home alone with the girls!

4 months old!

Well, the girls are officially 1/3 of a year old! I can't believe it! Time is flying by and they are getting so big. New accomplishments over the past month include laughing, which is perhaps the cutest sound I've ever heard, lots of talking and cooing, learning to arch their backs which makes it difficult to use the swing or bouncy seat anymore, and lots of growth! Sadie officially has tremendous thighs and Macy's growing quite the chin!

The other day we had a play date with Eleanor and the girls got dressed up some pretty cute outfits. They looked like little ballerinas in their skirts and leggings!
Unfortunately Sadie had a diaper blow out while we were playing with Eleanor, so she didn't remain in her outfit all day, but here is a picture of the three girls hanging out together.
Just had to throw one in of Daddy and his clone, Macy...these two couldn't look more alike if they tried!
We went to the zoo again this weekend (on the girls 4 month birthday) and Daddy wanted to try out the rickshaw. Macy was sleeping in her stroller, but Sadie and I jumped in the back for a picture! I'm sure on-lookers thought we were all nuts!
And now for the 4 month pictures....
Sadie girl
Macy Moo
Macy again...she has so much personality and is absolutely the most quirky little girl I know!
And one last one of Sadie...her smiles are so huge and she opens her mouth so wide!
Happy 4 month Birthday girls!

A day at the park

Today we went to the park with Kate and Richard (2.5 y/o). We had a blast relaxing in the grass, watching Richard play on the play set and swinging. It was a beautiful day to be at the park and the girls loved the fresh air. I fed them their bottles while Richard played with the other kids at the park and then we all went to the swings to hang out for a while.
It took Richard a while to warm up to the girls and he spent the first part of the morning pulling their socks off and running away, but he quickly decided he really liked them and wanted to hold them and kiss them. Here he is holding Macy. It was adorable, because he was kissing her cheek the whole time!
The girls each got to try out the swings for the first time and I think they liked it! Here is Macy enjoying her swing time...
It took Sadie a minute to get comfortable, but she quickly decided swinging was a lot of fun!
Here's the two girls hanging out! They were so cute!
Hoping for some more gorgeous Fall weather over the next few weeks, so we can hit up the zoo again and do some other fun outdoor activities before the weather gets too chilly!

Grammy leaves tomorrow...

Grammy leaves tomorrow and we are so sad! We've loved having her visit and the girls have had so much fun showing her all of their talents, including smiling, cooing, rolling, playing with each other and playing with toys! They've loved all of the attention that they have received while Grammy was in town and especially the fact that they've each had someone to hold them for their bottles, rather than Mommy feeding them alone. Here is a picture of Grammy reading to the girls...they love stories!
Here are a few more pictures from Grammy's visit. Unfortunately, she took most of the pictures, so she's not in many of them!
Macy Moo! We all continue to get such a kick out of how identical she is to her Daddy!
Sadie Bear! She is so big and Grammy couldn't stop pinching her big thigh rolls!
The girls have really started enjoying one another! They love to talk to each other and smile at each other. Here they are having their daily play time together!

We're so sad to see Grammy go and can't wait to see her again in October when we head to CT for a high school friend's wedding. We haven't figured out how we're going to manage the trip with the girls, but we think driving is the best way. More to come soon, with the girls in their super cute new clothes that Grammy bought while she was here. The girls officially have more outfits than their mom and dad combined and will certainly be looking good for the winter season!

Go Bucks!

The girls had their first Buckeye Saturday! Yay for football season! We may not make it down to tailgating this year, but I'm sure that the girls will attend quite a few Ohio State parties, with their first one being yesterday for the OSU versus Navy game! They got to wear their adorable Buckeye sweaters for the first time and looked awfully cute!

Grammy is in town from CT, so we all headed over to the neighbors to watch the game and had a blast! Here are a few pictures of the girls in their Buckeye gear! Can't wait for next Saturday!

We took a few cute pictures of the girls in their church dresses this morning! They looked adorable and probably won't be able to wear sundresses for much longer. Here is Sadie first, then Macy and then the two together. They were great at church and were just so cute! Grammy can't believe how big they've gotten since the last time she visited!

We're having a great time over the Labor Day weekend, with Daddy at home and Grammy in town. The girls are attending their first Clipper's game tomorrow (minor league baseball), so I'll be sure to update the blog with more pictures soon!

Wesley's Birthday, The Zoo and more...

Last weekend we went to Wesley's 2nd Birthday party! We had a blast and loved watching Wesley open his gifts, eat his cake and play with his new toys. We especially enjoyed spending time with his parents, Travis and Sarah and their whole family. The girls loved being passed around and seeing new things. Here are a few pictures from the party.

This is Travis' grandpa Jim, Brian and Macy
Wesley playing with his new weedeater and safety goggles.
Sarah's sister, Claire, keeping Macy warm and toasty!
Wesley blowing out his candle with his mom and dad! Sarah made the best cake for him...so cute!
We got Wesley a zoo membership for his birthday, so on Sunday, we all went to the zoo and had a blast. We hope to make it a regular weekend event, now that we all have memberships! Here is Wesley riding a pony at the zoo... Our girls can't wait until they can participate in the fun activities!
Our girls at the zoo...Please ignore their goofy sun hats. It was cold out and Brian insisted that they have something on their heads and sun hats were all that we had!! The girls have recently started noticing each other and it is wonderful. They love to smile at one another and seem to really love spending time together. Here are a few pictures of them interacting on the bed this morning!
Macy smiling at Sadie! So cute!
And one last one of Sadie, because I think it's a cute picture!
My mom comes to town on Friday and we can't wait. So check back soon, as I'm sure we'll have tons of pictures to post from Grammy's visit!
